Nicola Bettale was born in Schio (I) in 1978. Actually he lives and works in Paris.

He has started to be involved in art (photo, video, drawing and sound) in 2005 when he met some among the major italian photographers such as Ezio Turus, Nino Migliori and Maurizio Galimberti.

As from 2006 the author has been taking part at group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Here are some of the most important ones: TRAIETTORIE LIQUIDE at the Bevilacqua La Masa foundation (Venice), DALL'ACCADEMIA ALLA FORNACE at the Furnace Foundation (Asolo) and CAMMINO AL BICENTENARIO 1810-2010 - PYLARES Y PARACCIONES at the Presidencia de la Nación (Buenos Aires - Argentina). CENTRO-PERIFERIA. NUOVE CREATIVITÁ at the Federculture office (Rome) and IL BALLO DEGLI SCONOSCIUTI at Pho-to'35 gallery (Turin).

In 2007 he won the first prize of the CENTRO/PERIFERIA international contest for young artists organized by FEDERCULTURE (Rome) and he is one of the five selected photographers at PREMIO ARTE (Milan).

In 2009 Bettale conceives the "SCHIO GLOBAL DIGITAL FEST" together with the "Le Momo Electronique" group. A multimedia art review where masters of video art such as Nam June Paik, Robert Cahen, Robert and Steina Vasulka, Studio Azzurro and many others exhibit together with emerging and very young artists.

In 2011 he was invited to take part at the VIDEOART YEARBOOK, a videoart review about the best italian video artists, organized by the audiovisual departement of the University of Bologna.

In 2013 Bettale was invited to show his audiovisual work THEY PUT ME IN THE MORGUE ALIVE at IMA, the Arab World Institute in Paris.

From 2013 to 2015 he dedicated himself to music and he released his first solo album called GIVE YOU THE A in march 2015.

In 2019 Bettale, together with María Rodriguez, founded 4MANIHOME + ART brand, handcrafted jewelry and home design creations made of recycled and natural materials.

Bettale's artworks have been published on many Art magazines such as YOUNG BLOOD 2007, ZOOM and ARTE.
